Well first of all, Oliver's insane, obviously. Wouldn't be here if that wasn't the case, would he? Although he doesn't think he's insane, oh no, he's perfectly fine and anyone who says differently is wrong or lying. He wants, so badly, to be perfect and is always trying to be. But being perfect is impossible, he knows that. Just... Doesn't accept it. Because he has to be perfect, he can't disappoint his dead mother, no he can't. Always wanted to be the perfect child for her, all those years that he watched her die. You see, she had Huntington's, an incurable disease that he may have inherited. Screwed him up royally, that did. Now, even though she's dead, he can't break the cycle. Hell, he hadn't even told anyone that he was gay until after her death, but he still can't get close to other males. Years of being told that homosexuality is wrong can do that to a guy.
His mother's death served to mess with that already twisted mind of his, made him think of how he could die the exact same way that she did. Even though it'll be years before the disease would start affecting him, if he even has it, it's been hard for him to get close to anyone. Keeps thinking that he'd make others sad when he dies, so he's distant. If he can just avoid people for the next twenty or so years, then no one will miss him, right? And he can't burden anyone, the perfect person wouldn't do something like that. Besides, he doesn't need help. He's fine. Or so he'd like to think.
& the friends--This may be a bit difficult, but certainly possible. Just because he doesn't want any friends doesn't mean he can't slip up. Oliver's only human after all, even if he'd like to think he's somehow better than everyone else. Plus he feels the need to help others, he puts pretty much everyone else's well being above his own. So the more screwed up someone is, the more likely he'd want to help. Though he probably wouldn't accept anyone trying to help him, if they used the word 'help', that is. And, as a warning, he'd become very protective of anyone that he considers a friend.
& the lovers--Hmm, a homophobic homosexual? Well he'd certainly make things complicated, to say the least. Since his mother, the one who disapproved of homosexuality, is now dead, he has at least come out of the closet. Honestly, it would either take someone very patient or someone that doesn't mind mind him having a panic attack when things get heated, or both.
& the enemies--So easy, it would be so easy for him to make enemies. Due to his straight edge-ness, he disapproves of anyone that breaks rules, does drugs, and all that good stuff. Not to mention he has one hell of a temper, prone to getting pissed off anyone who points out his flaws. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Well, I'm not sure what category they'd fall under, but I'd like to see Oliver and Jason meet. See, Jason afraid of males too. He's heterosexual, but he's had plenty of emotional and physical bad experiences with men in general, the most striking being his sad excuse of a father and these other men who molested him. But that was a long time ago and he's still not over it....
So yeah, I'd just think it would be funny to watch them eye each other. ^^
I'm open to ideas

I see him and matt being enemies. with matt doing drugs, and doing anything to get said drugs, would probably lead oliver to absolutely hating him.
and during manic episodes, i could see matt trying to clearly hit on oliver... trying to get into his pants, but in the end get pissed off for being turned down or being called out on it.
keep your friends close, but enemies closer, right? (:

isabella and he can be friends - isabella is harmless as long as she isn't angered which isn't hard to do but she is quite calm, well as calm as someone can be who has a case pf psychosis and is suicidal and thinks they see dead people and hear voices of said dead people. so isabella may randomly start talking to some invisible person that ceases to exist.
